Mallery Wood is the Director of Sales and Use Tax at Sales Tax Colorado, LLC. Her primary focus is on Colorado State and local sales and use tax issues and the associated challenges facing those doing business in Colorado. Though specialized in CO by sheer proximity, Mallery is also versed in sales and use taxes across the nation with clients from all industries, doing business across multiple states and even internationally.

Previously Mallery worked for 10.5 years as a Tax Auditor and then the Training Tax Audit Supervisor with the City and County of Denver. Her beloved governmental career only ending due to a short-term move out of state for an entrepreneurial business venture. Having navigated that entrepreneurial endeavor successfully, Mallery and her husband, Jim, moved back to Colorado and formed Integrated Consulting Partners, LLC with Mallery specializing in everything from bookkeeping to virtual CFO duties, and Jim specializing in an Operations Executive capacity. Mallery’s fortunate experiences with former Sales Tax Colorado Director, Alan Smith, led to her adopting him (and him graciously accepting the role) as a mentor and working closely with him. When the opportunity came for Alan to retire to a life of service to those in need in realms outside of tax, Mallery was thrilled to have the opportunity to continue the calling in Alan’s stead.

With a passion for education, empowerment, and all things local tax, Mallery enjoys working closely with clients to help them understand the tax environment surrounding their business. Mallery works to defend against audits, arm her clients with knowledge and resources to make smart and safe choices for their companies, create strategies to improve and even automate processes for improved compliance with reduced prospective risk, and to ultimately help save money.

Mallery comes to the table with honed business and personnel management skills and experience, extensive knowledge from her experiences training both auditors and taxpayers, and an in-depth insider perspective from one of the largest Home Rule Cities in the State of Colorado.
